Embroidered Robes are seen in the closets of hotel rooms, given out to customers that go to a Spa or for preparing for and after a massage. They are used in most people’s homes for themselves or for their guests, worn lounging around at a pool and some people wear robes to bed for an extra comfort and warmth when very cold.
A robe provides comfort and warmth after getting out of bath or shower to relax in before getting dressed for the day or an evening out for dinner or being with friends. Some people use it after getting out of a shower or pool as it absorbs water, while other people use it walking around their home and just spending leisure time before getting dressed in the morning or while preparing a meal for the family.
Some hotels offer them to their major clients and surprise them with their names embroidered on them unbeknownst to the people until they use them. We had a client want some embroidered robes so they could be given to guests on their yacht, to be more comfortable being around others and not dressed all the time.
Robes can have collars, a Shawl type collar or a Kimono Collar. They also come in many Colors or use different color trims. Depending on their material some are heavier or lighter than others and provide absorbency after being wet. They all have tie closures.
Robes go back hundreds of years as in some cultures they were used for Dress for Japanese and Chinese culture. Men wore a robe to distinguish status. They then transformed to bathrobes for both leisure and privacy.
